Mrs. Lillian Lemons, a resident of Maryland, is a true blessing to the Sankofa project and to the Sankofa family.

Lillian is a retired Executive Administrative Assistant who served in the Office of the Associate Director of Operations for the D.C. Department of Corrections for more than 20 years. She excelled in this role, and after retirement, dedicated herself to her family and to serving her local community, school system, and her church

Lillian's dedication to serving others is evident, as she performs her duties as an Usher at Contee AME Zion Church in Washington, DC., where she serves God and her church family on a regular basis. In addition to her other obligations, Lillian volunteers her time, talents, and resources, towards helping Sankofa International, Inc. in fulfilling its mission to help Africans living in Africa, and all the while giving all the glory and praise to her Lord and Savior "Jesus Christ".
