For eligible purchases at AS, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase to Sankofa International.

How does Sankofa International, Inc. receive the donations?

Based on eligible purchases, each quarter, the AmazonSmile Foundation makes a donation to Sankofa by electronic funds transfer.  Donations will be transferred approximately 45 days after the end of each calendar quarter.

What is the AmazonSmile Foundation?

The AmazonSmile Foundation (ASF) is a 501c3 private foundation created by Amazon to administer the AmazonSmile program.  All donation amounts generated by the AmazonSmile program are remitted to the ASF.  In turn, the ASF donates those amounts to the selected charitable organization.  Amazon pays all expenses of the ASF; they are not deducted from the donation amounts generated by purchases on AmazonSmile.
